Aita shared his piperade recipe last week, and now he wants to show you his vegetable garden in Sonoma, California.
After the positive response to our family cooking video, my parents made their own video without me! Aita was very happy to show off his late summer garden and tell you about the crops he grows to make his piperade.

You guys have been asking for Aita’s piperade recipe for years, and he finally shared it with us!
My parents invited me to join them for their piperade cooking session this week, and they allowed me to get it all on camera. Aita grows his own organic peppers and tomatoes, so every year around this time they have more than they can handle. Aita cooks large batches of piperade and then Mom cans them for the family to eat year-round.

Today on the YouTube channel, I’m sharing some research I’ve done on the different ways of promoting minority language. In my searches, I’ve come across several articles from Irish sources comparing the ways the Irish language is promoted in Ireland with how the Basque language is promoted in the Basque Country. This comparison provides an interesting case, because daily use of Irish is decreasing while the daily use of Basque is increasing.

Today on the YouTube channel, I’m sharing some research I’ve done on the oldest languages of Europe. For years I’ve been told that Euskara, the Basque language, is the oldest living language in Europe, but I wanted to investigate whether that’s true.
What I found is that it’s a complicated question with no simple answers!
